Role Guides

CIVITAS/CORE uses a role-based model to manage responsibilities and access within the Platform.

Each role represents a specific set of permissions and typical tasks, such as administering the Platform, managing, reviewing, or defining data-related elements, or consuming available data.

The Platform provides a set of predefined standard roles that can be used as a starting point and reflect common responsibilities based on data governance principles.

The following guides explain how each role interacts with the platform and which workflows are typically performed.

• Tenant Admin – manages tenant settings, users, groups and roles
• Data Architect – designs Data structures and Data sources
• Data Steward – designs Datasets and manage Base information
• Data Consumer – discovers and uses available Datasets
• Data Gatekeeper – approves and manage Data-related elements and their status
• Data Owner – is responsible for data-related elements and their status lifecycle
